Meet Jesus

1. God created mankind so that he might fellowship (share with; have in common with) humanity all that he has to offer, which includes a life no human can possess without him (see Genesis 1:26 27; 2:8 in the Bible).

2. A person's sin (literally, "missing the mark"; breaking the laws of God) makes that fellowship impossible (see Genesis 3:21-24) Everyone who has ever lived on the face of the earth has sinned (see Romans 3:23 in the Bible).

3. A price must be paid for personally committed sins. Regrettably, that price is death (see Genesis 2:16; Romans 6:23 in the Bible).

4. Death is not God’s desire for our lives (see #1 above), but he will not, cannot, simply let sinners  “off the hook”—otherwise he becomes less than God (see 1 Timothy 2:13; John 3:18 in the Bible).

5. God made a provision so that none of us has to die, i.e., his son, Jesus Christ (see Matthew 1:21-23; Romans 5:6-8 in the Bible). At least, that is true, unless we want to die.

6. Historically, Jesus actually died in our place for our sins and as our innocent substitute. He was crucified, died, was buried, and rose on the third day according to the Scriptures (see Romans 5:8; 2 Corinthians 5:21 in the Bible).

7. God, the Father, raised Jesus from the dead (see Acts 2:24; Romans 4:25; 6:4; 1 Corinthians 15:4, 20 in the Bible).

8. Now, God expects man to respond by repenting and believing (see Acts 17:30 in the Bible and #10 below).

9. All who will not repent and believe in Jesus must pay the penalty of his or her own personal sins (see Matthew 25:41; Acts 4:12; Revelation 20:15 in the Bible).

10. You are advised to repent (which means to have a change of mind [about your sinfulness before and separation from God] that leads to a change in direction in life) and believe in Jesus Christ. “Believe” means to trust in and depend upon the promise about the person of Jesus Christ (see Romans 10:9-13 in the Bible). The promise is that if you will depend on Jesus Christ alone for your salvation, you will be saved.

11. If you have trusted Jesus Christ, please, eMail us so that we may rejoice with and pray for you as you begin your new life in Christ Jesus.
